Meet Rachel
Hi, I’m Rachel. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Boise State University and a Bachelor’s from Brigham Young University–Idaho. Over the past three years, I’ve dedicated my practice to supporting children and adolescents as they navigate the complexities of growing up. My goal is to create a warm, non-judgmental environment where young people feel seen and heard.
By blending evidence-based techniques with a compassionate, play-informed approach, I help my clients manage anxiety, process difficult life transitions, and build the resilience they need to thrive. I believe that every child deserves a safe place to heal, and I am honored to walk alongside families in Idaho and Utah as they find their path toward emotional well-being and growth.
Expertise & Academic Foundation
My clinical approach is rooted in advanced social work training and a specialized focus on developmental psychology. I believe that effective therapy for children and teens requires a unique set of tools that prioritize safety, curiosity, and emotional literacy.
From implementing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety to utilizing play-informed and play therapy modalities for younger children, my practice is built on evidence-based techniques. My work is also informed by Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Developmental Needs Meeting Strategy (DNMS), and The 7 Challenges framework. I also specialize in trauma-informed care, family system dynamics, and medical trauma, ensuring a holistic support system for every young person I see as they work toward resilience and growth.

My Approach & Philosophy
My work is grounded in the belief that every child and teen deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued. I take a gentle, collaborative approach, moving at your child’s pace and honoring their unique strengths, culture, and story.
In sessions, I blend structure with flexibility—using evidence-based tools alongside play, creativity, and conversation—so therapy feels both safe and engaging. I also see parents and caregivers as essential partners. Together, we explore what’s working, where you feel stuck, and practical ways to support your child at home and school.
Above all, my goal is to create a space where your child can explore big feelings, practice new skills, and build a stronger sense of who they are, while you feel supported and less alone in the process.
